MINNEAPOLIS — A sculpture named Minne that resembles the Loch Ness monster has been removed from a Minneapolis lake after too many people climbed on its back and neck.

The 13-foot-tall sculpture was pulled Wednesday from Lake Calhoun, which was its home this summer.

The Star Tribune reports the sculpture has been placed in different Minneapolis lakes since 2009, and this year’s removal was earlier than originally planned.
