The Austin Post 1216 VFW baseball team dropped its first Sub-District tournament game 5-4 to Winona in Marcusen Park Saturday.

Tanner Steene knocked in a run with two outs in the seventh inning for Austin, but Post 1216 couldn’t complete the rally.
Winona scored four runs in the first two innings to take control early.
