Canterbury offers $2 million purse for American Pharoah

SHAKOPEE — Minnesota’s Canterbury Park is hoping it has a shot at hosting horse racing’s new Triple Crown star.
The Shakopee track says it’s prepared to put up $2 million to attract American Pharoah, in what it says would be the largest purse offered this summer in North American horse racing.
