The Austin girls track and field team had some standout performances as it took second place in its home triangular at Larry Gilbertson track and field Tuesday.

Austin junior Rachel Quandt was one one-hundredth of a second from breaking an AHS school record as she took first place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.81 seconds. The record time of 15.8 seconds was set by AHS grad Jessica Webber in 2008.

Austin’s Odongogna Oballa won the 400-meter dash by a full second, Madison Overby won the 1600-meter run by nearly a minute, and Abby Lewis won the 800-meter run.
