Russell F. Farrell, 73, of Austin, Minnesota, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at the Adams Health Care Center.

Russell Freddie Farrell was born Dec. 30, 1941, at Eagle Bend, Minnesota, the son of Larry J. and Florence M. (Maher) Farrell. Russ was married to Marguerite Gagnon. They resided in Austin and Russ worked at the Old Mill since 1981 and at Kennedy Homes in southern Minnesota. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, playing cribbage and canasta. He also liked to play Yahtzee and spend time with family and friends. Russ will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marguerite; son Ronald; parents Larry and Florence Farrell; brothers: Dale, John William, William John, Ronald and Jack.

Russ is survived by his son: Russ (Renee) Farrell, Rochester, Minnesota; daughter: Kim Jorgenson, Hollandale, Minnesota; grandchildren: Troy, Ben (Claire), Traci, Samantha, Allyssa, and Charles; siblings: Donna Huinker, Austin, Minnesota, Geraldine (Roger) Tildsley, California, Dennis (Ann) Olund, Austin, Minnesota, Elmer (Marilyn) Olund, Austin, Minnesota, Ted (Diane) Farrell, Escondido, California, and Charlotte (Dennis) Kubicek, Austin, Minnesota; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Dale Tupper officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday for one hour before the service. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
