Packer tennis team edges Albert Lea and falls to Mayo

The Austin boys tennis team beat Albert Lea 4-3 and lost to Rochester Mayo 6-1 in Paulson Tennis Courts Saturday.
Seth Hebrink, who is 3-0 on the season, won both of his matches for the Packers (2-2 overall, 2-2 Big Nine) at No. 4 singles. Against Mayo, Hebrink dropped the first game 6-1, but won the next two games 6-3 apiece.

“Seth Hebrink continue to play well,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “He showed some great competiveness today by coming back from a set down to win a really exciting match.”
Against AL, Austin’s No. 1 doubles team Carter Steichen and Jens Ourada trailed early, but were able to rally to a 6-4, 6-3 win and No. 2 singles player Jeremy Olmsted cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win.
” I was proud of the way [Carter and Jens] battled back,” Anderson said. “Jeremy Olmsted is really starting to play well and it showed in the match [against AL] in dominating fashion.”
