The Hayfield softball team squeaked past Randolph (7-4 overall) 6-5 on the road Thursday.

Freshman Carrie Rutledge went 2-for-2 with a triple and four runs for Hayfield (7-2 overall), Kyal Heydt was 1-for-2 with an RBI and Maggie Streightiff was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
