Austin High School Clay Target team coaches Heath Deters, Bob Wolf, Joe Maxfield, and Terry Fox completed the NRA Level 1 Shotgun Coach class over the weekend of March 21-22, 2015, in Buffalo, Minnesota.

The class, instructed by Mark and Sally Stevens (Buffalo, Minn.) of the National Shotgun Coach Development Staff, consists of 12 hours intense classroom work and 4 hours range exercises and it requires passing an 80-question written test as well as receiving the instructors’ recommendations. Austin’s shooting team now has 16 committed coaches who have completed Level 1 training.
