Mary Ann Bliese, 83 of Austin, Minnesota, passed on peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014.

Mary Ann was born on Aug. 24, 1931, in Austin, Minnesota, to Martin and Esther (Yonke) Holte. She graduated from Austin High School in 1949 and married Rodger Bliese on May 8, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin.

Mary Ann enjoyed Cotillion, ballroom dancing, bridge club and evening drives around Austin. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and volunteered at the Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop.

She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Esther Holte; and step brother Robert Holte.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Rodger Bliese, Austin, Minnesota; daughter and son-in-law: Cynthia and Kevin Johnson, Austin, Minnesota; sons and daughters-in-law: Brad and Angela Bliese, Roseville, Minnesota, and Mark and Taylor Bliese, Austin, Minnesota; grandchildren: Matthew and Amy Ann Johnson, Austin, Minnesota, Brock Bliese, Roseville, Minnesota, and Claire and Charlotte Bliese, Austin, Minnesota; great granddaughter: Ezrya.

Friends may greet the family at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5, for a time of visitation, food and refreshments. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
