It was a great day for a wedding … showcase.

The sixth Austin Wedding Showcase drew more than 150 people to the Hormel Historic Home Sunday to offer wedding-related services, styles and more to area residents.

“It’s phenomenal,” said Amanda Barber, the HHH operations manager and wedding coordinator.

The showcase benefited from better weather this year compared to the past, including a blizzard during the 2014 showcase.

The nicer weather gave more residents the chance to meet other vendors like photographers, disc jockeys, makeup artists, hair stylists, decorators and florists.

“It really helps out the vendors and the brides,” Barber said.

The highlight of the showcase was the fashion show, which featured Austin Bruins players as male models while area retailer Belles and Beaus showed off wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, tuxedos and more.
