The Lyle-Pacelli girls basketball team started strong and it cruised past Lanesboro (2-4 overall, 2-3 SEC) 78-32 on the road Friday.

Freshman Brooke Walter had 21 points to lead No. 7 ranked LP (6-0 overall, 6-0 SEC) and Madison Truckenmiller added 12 points and eight rebounds.

“It was a fantastic effort by our kids tonight,” LP head coach Justin Morris said. “We played an intelligent, focused basketball game and I’m really proud of the way the kids bounced back after a lackluster effort last night.”
