Kevin R. Gilles has been promoted to the rank of technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

Gilles is currently serving as an air transportation craftsman with the 55th Aerial Port Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, California. He has served in the military for 14 years.

Gilles is the brother of Dolores Nelson of St. Cloud, Minnesota and father of Amber, Riley, Olivia, and Ashley. He is a 1984 Austin High School. He earned an bachelor’s degree in 1992 from the Minnesota State University, Mankato.
