Pacelli eighth grader was the fastest runner in Section 1A as she won the meet in Rochester Thursday to get to clinch her spot at the Class A state meet for the second straight year.

Christopherson, who hadn’t won a meet all season before Thursday, finished the race in 15 minutes and 40 seconds and she is the first cross country section champion in Pacelli history.

“It was a great time to win her first meet of the year. She is a gamer and knows how to compete,” Pacelli head coach Jim Parlin said. “Sarah Kahle also ran a good race to finish out her high school cross country career in 34th place.”
