An Austin man shot Tuesday is still listed in critical condition at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester.

Tyrone Maddox, 38, suffered three gunshot wounds Tuesday night, according to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger. Maddox was shot once in the upper torso and twice in the leg.

Police arrested 28-year-old Tyrone Price in connection with the shooting Tuesday, which allegedly took place at 414 Fourth St. SE.

Witnesses reported a silver four-door car leaving the area shortly after the shooting. Officers recognized the car and arrested Price for first-degree assault in Northeast Austin. He was taken to the Mower County jail awaiting further charges.

Maddox was taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and was later airlifted to Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester.

Price is at the Mower County Jail awaiting formal charges.
