Roger A. Whitcomb, 72, of Sun City, Arizona, died July 30, 2014, in Peoria, Arizona, of complications from diabetes.

Roger was born June 16, 1942, in Austin, Minnesota to Harold E. and Myrtle (Goldsberry) Whitcomb. He graduated from Austin High School in 1960. Roger was married Nov. 9, 1968 to Susan (Shreiner) Whitcomb at First Baptist Church in Austin. He worked for Austin Public Schools upon his graduation and began a career as a nursing home administrator, continuing in that field until his retirement.

He was a member of Horizons Community Church in Peoria.

Survivors include his son, Mark A.(Stefani) Whitcomb, of Flagstaff, Arizona; four grandchildren, Holly, Hannah, Tyler and Adam Whitcomb, of Flagstaff, Arizona; and brother, Donald (Millie) Whitcomb of Austin, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eugene Whitcomb and James Whitcomb.

There will be a memorial service held at a future date at Horizon Community Church in Peoria, Arizona.
