Austin baseball team splits with Rockets

The Austin baseball team split a doubleheader against Rochester John Marshall in Dick Seltz Field Saturday.

The Packers (4-13 overall, 4-13 Big Nine) lost the first game 15-8 and won the second game 11-1 in five innings.

Hunter Lewis picked up the win in game two.

“Hunter Lewis got ahead and stayed ahead,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “We battled and played ahead throughout the whole game.”

The Rockets used a nine-run frame to pull ahead in the first game.
