Sharen Jean Peuha, 73

Sharen Jean Peuha, 73, longtime resident of Hibbing, Minn., died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Cornerstone Villa in Buhl.

She was born April 9, 1941, in Blooming Prairie, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Irene (Schulz) Schramm. She graduated from Austin High School. Sharen was united in marriage to Stanley Peuha on Oct. 23, 1965, in Hibbing.

Sharen worked as a secretary for Hibbing High School. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing, and she enjoyed cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers, making Christmas cookies, and Finnish biscuit.

Sharen is survived by her daughters: Nancy (Patrick) Welsh of Chisholm, Minn.; and Susan (James) Chacich of Hibbing; her mother: Irene Schramm of Red Wing, Minn.; her brother: Roger Schramm of Gordon, Wis.; her sister: Lois (Gary) Hughes; five grandchildren: Tiffany (Doug) Lunning, Troy Anthony (Abby) King, Travis King, Nicholas Chacich, and Madison Chacich; and five great-grandchildren: Isabelle and Charlotte King, Jack and Ada Lunning, and Mikah Chacich.

She was preceded in death by her father: Henry in 2009; her husband: Stanley in 2004; and her son: Troy A. King in 2009.

Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, April 21, 2014, at the First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Larry Quanbeck will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
