The Hayfield softball team won its third straight game when it edged out Byron (1-4 overall) 11-8 in eight innings in Byron Thursday.

Jessie Foster had a sacrifice fly to put the Vikings (3-1 overall) up 9-8 in the eighth inning and Grace Walker lined a single up the middle to score two more runs.

Walker had a home run in the win and Grace Mindrup hit a grand slam in the win for Hayfield.
