The Lyle-Pacelli baseball team opened its season with a couple of lop-sided wins at Houston (0-2 overall, 0-2 SEC) Thursday.

The Athletics (2-0 overall, 2-0 SEC) won the opener 17-0 in five innings and they took the nightcap 13-3.

Jordan Hart was 7-for-8 with a homer, two doubles and 10 RBIs for LP and Daniel Bollingberg was 6-for-8 with two doubles, four RBIs and seven runs scored.

“We threw strikes and it was good to get out for the first time,” LP head coach Brock Meyer said. “Lucas Klabunde did a good job of catching after kind of getting throwing into the role.”
