LP sophomore Sarah Holtz went 12-for-14 and scored 27 points in the win to go over 1,000 points in her career.

Holtz is the second LP player to reach the 1,000th point mark this season as Courtney Walter, who scored 15 points Thursday, did it earlier this year. LP senior Ann Rysavy, who had 11 points, five assists and four steals Thursday, is the Athletics’ all-time leading scorer.

No. 2 seeded LP (24-0 overall) has now won 14 games by at least 40 points this season.

LP will play No. 3 Blooming Prairie in the Section 1A West semifinals at Mayo Civic Center Auditorium Monday at 7:30 p.m.

LP beat BP 58-19 Dec. 5.

“It’s a huge game for both teams, we know we’re going to be in a battle for thirty six minutes,” LP head coach Justin Morris said of Monday’s game. “It should be an outstanding game between two very good teams.”
