The National Weather Service in La Crosse, Wis., has issued a wind chill warning for 6 p.m. Wednesday through noon Thursday. The weather service also issued winter weather advisory for blowing snow, as strong wind gust after a dusting of snow overnight is reducing visibilities and could cause drifting on rural roads.

Temperatures are expected to fall to 16 below overnight, with a 23 to 25 mph winds, 34 mph gusts and wind chills as low as 41 below.
