Nearly $1K in tools missing after garage break-in

An Austin homeowner is missing some valuable tools after someone reportedly broke into his garage this week.

According to the police report, the homeowner said on Wednesday night that someone had broken into his garage between Jan. 6 and Jan. 8 and stole an antique torch and more.

Other items included Stanley and Bosch power nailers, three socket sets and a Crafstman drill. The antique torch was also in its box and worth roughly $400. The entire value of the items is about $900.

Police have no suspects at this time. It is unclear how the alleged burglar broke into the garage.
