The Austin girls hockey team lost 3-2 in overtime to Rochester Mayo in Riverside Arena Saturday.

The Spartans (5-11 overall, 4-6 Big Nine) scored the game-winner 5:45 into the overtime period.

Austin (5-10-1 overall, 2-8 Big Nine) had to kill a five-minute power play at the end of the third and the first part of OT as it played the overtime period without Myia Hoium, who was received a game misconduct for a hit to the head.

Allison Hoban had 47 saves for the Packers.

Madison Overby had a goal and an assist for Austin and Chloe Summerfield had a goal.
