Applications for two internship positions with the Minnesota Pork Producers Association and Pork Board are due by Dec. 1.

The communication, education and consumer outreach summer internships will be a minimum of 12 weeks at $550 per week, located in Mankato. The selected interns will be assigned projects by the MPPA and MPB staff. Activities may include work on ongoing and new projects, work at pork ambassador events, pork exhibit trailer, state and county fairs, newsletter writing and training.

Some overnight travel and extensive driving may be required.

Eligible individuals are those who have completed at least one year of college; preferred majors are in agricultural education, animal science, marketing, economics, journalism, public relations, education or mass communication.

To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, a copy of transcript, two letters of recommendation and two writing samples.
