Dorothy J. Jacobson, 89, of Austin, Minn., died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at the Adams Healthcare Center.

Dorothy was born on Jan. 1, 1924, in Austin, to George and Anne (Melde) Fett. She graduated from Austin High School in 1942. Dorothy married Curtis Jacobson on Nov. 3, 1943, in Austin. She was a secretary for Austin Public Schools.

Dorothy enjoyed making crafts, crocheting and cross-stitch. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Curtis, son Craig and brother Merlin Fett.

Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: David and Pat Jacobson, of Bonita Springs, Fla., Jerry and Nancy Jacobson, of Pottersville, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Dale Kuehn, of Ogilvie, Minn.; nine grandchildren: Kendra Jacobson, Heather Jacobson, Amy Boucher, Heidi Jolson, Gina Wood, Jesse Jacobson, Scott Jacobson, Seth Anderson and Tasha Jacobson; 12 great-grandchildren; sister: Arlene Peterson, of Plainview, Minn.; brother: George (Karin) Fett, of Maple Grove, Minn.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Forbes officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, in Hayfield, Minn. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday morning for one hour before the service.
