The city of Austin is accepting applications from residents who want to serve on various civic boards.

Board positions on the city’s Charter Commission, Housing & Redevelopment Authority, Human Rights Commission, Library Board and Parks & Recreation Board are open.

Terms will begin in January and run for three to five years, depending on the board.

Applications and board descriptions can be downloaded from the city website at ci.austin.mn.us and are available at City Hall. All applications are due by Nov. 20, and the Austin City Council will appoint positions at its first December meeting. For more information, call (507)-437-9940.
