Fair offers up timeless activities and fun for all

Published 5:00 pm Saturday, August 3, 2013

It’s a well-worn phrase but in this case it still rings true, there really is something for everyone at the Mower County Fair.

The various carnival rides, entertainment and food grab a lot of the attention. Local growers and 4-H members have a chance to show off their vegetables, craft handiwork, livestock and various other exhibits. Fun for everyone.

Just in case you didn’t realize it, I wanted to make sure you know the Senior Center is represented at the fair. Our building is across from the animal barns and next to the St. Olaf food building.

We have handmade flour sac towels, refrigerator towels, potato bags and other fun handicrafts. This year we are fortunate to have air conditioning. If you need a rest or some ice cold water in a comfortable spot make sure you check us out.

The Senior Center building is also open for daily activities for those of you that enjoy the center. You are always welcome at the Senior Center!
