Three locals are going to bike the distance over the next couple over the next month or so.

YMCA members Terry Fox and Dave and Julie Thomsen will be biking all of the way from the Mississippi Headwaters to the Gulf Coast. The group will bike a total of 2,500 miles and are hoping to put in at least 100 miles per day.

This trip, which began Tuesday, is a follow up trip from when the trio went coast-to-coast across the United States in 2011.
