Busy week planned after holiday

Now that you have had a chance to recover from the holiday, we have another fun week planned for you.

• Monday is Nutritional Assistance Program for Seniors at 9:30 a.m. Deb Rentfrow, community nutrition educator, University of Minnesota Extension, will give out samples starting at 9:30 a.m. Also this month is Commodity Supplemental Food Program and Channel one will be issuing Farmers Market Vouchers to its Senior Citizen Participants. These vouchers can be used to help purchase locally grown Minnesota fruits, vegetables and herbs from some of the vendors at the Farmers Market in Austin. You must be age 60 or older and on the NAPS program to be eligible to receive these vouchers. • Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. is our monthly massage. Ron’s Massage will be here doing free massages. You must be signed up to participate. There is limited space. He will do your first three 15 min massages free after that there will be a charge.

• Wednesday at 10 a.m. is our macular degeneration support group. This is for everyone who is living with this visual impairment and/or a caregiver. The public is invited to attend.

• Thursday: Travis is joining us again. Travis Stayton is “The Home of The Brave Outdoors.” He has been in business since 2008. He has sold lures in the United States each direction of the compass. His work is recognized by people such as Babe Winkleman, Paul Jr. Designs, and recently by Benny Spies from the TV show Gun It, and Shannon “Lefty” Larsen of the NBC Sports Show Lip Em N Rip Em, along with their same-name radio show. His most popular selling lures now are the DragonFly, and Special Water Assault Tackle lures. Don’t forget Friday. We are having our monthly Picnic in the parking lot. This month we are doing Spam burgers or Hotdogs, chips and nacho cheese, a drink and desert for only $5. Join us 4:30-6:30 p.m. for some fun, food and fellowship.
