BP’s Noble takes 16th at state golf meet

BECKER — Blooming Prairie junior Anna Noble finished up a strong two days at the Class ‘A’ state golf meet by finishing in 16th place at Pebble Creek Golf Course

Noble finished with a two-day score of 184, which was 19 strokes behind state champion Hannah Kruger of Russell Tyler Ruthton.

Noble shot a 97 on Wednesday after posting a season’s best score of 87 on Tuesday.

“I was a little surprised I finished as high as I did, because I didn’t do that well today,” Noble said. “I didn’t have very many goals coming in here. I was just pumped to be here and I wanted to shoot my usual score, which is in the low 90s.”

Noble shot a 53 on the front nine Wednesday, but she recovered to shoot a 44 on the back nine.

“I was more tired today,” she said. “My front nine wasn’t very good.”

Grand Meadow-LeRoy-Ostrander senior Kaitlin Kling finished 34th with at two-day score of 197. Kling shot a 100 on Wednesday.

Hayfield junior Samantha Dahlen finished 55th with a two-day score of 210. Dahlen shot a 104 on Wednesday.

In the boys field, Hayfield sophomore Brady Becker finished 29th with a two-day score of 168. Becker shot an 82 on Wednesday.

Hayfield senior Trevor Anderson finished 43rd with at two-day score of 174. Anderson shot an 89 Wednesday.
