Walter Krebsbach, 92, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Grand Meadow Care Center.

He was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Johnsburg, Minn., to Matthew and Christina Krebsbach. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. On Jan. 20, 1945, he married Ann Gilgenbach in Seattle, Washington. Walter worked for the Hormel Company for 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann, parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include sons: Duane and Randy of Austin; daughter, Janet Dapper of Minneapolis; granddaughters, Emily Dahlstrom and Melissa Molitor; brother, Ambrose (Helen) Krebsbach of Rose Creek, Minn.; sister, Angela (Joe) Slowinski of Austin.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to services and also on Monday evening at Mayer Funeral Home, from 4 to 7 p.m. including a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:15 p.m. Condolences may be left for the family at www.mayerfh.com.
