Mother’s in the community of Austin on Sunday May 12, are invited to come to the Corcoran Center at St. Edwards Church in Austin to celebrate Mother’s Day.

The Dad’s Belgian Waffles Fund Raiser is expected to attract over 1,000 people to the event on this Sunday between the hours of 9am and 1pm. The sponsors for the fundraiser include; Austin Early Risers Kiwanis, Austin Noon Kiwanis, St. Olaf Youth Group, Phi Theta Kappa of Riverland Community College, First United Methodist Youth, Mower County Senior Center and Our Savior’s Youth. The various organizations plan to provide all you can eat Belgian waffles to the multitude on Sunday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The waffles will be hot, various toppings will be available and your favorite sausage ready to eat. The price of just $7 per person with children 5 years and under free is expected to provide the youth in the community and our seniors funds to provide programs throughout the year. This is the 10th year that the various clubs and youth organizations have sponsored the event in Austin. The weather is expected to be perfect. The youth in the community expect to see the number in attendance break the previous record of 1,000.
