Track and field: Packer girls take second and boys take fourth at home invite

The Austin girls track and field team took second and the Packer boys took fourth at the seven-team Austin invite at Larry Gilbertson track and field Saturday.

Austin senior Omot Okello won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, senior Jake Hagen-Erickson took first in the long jump and junior Andrew Hagan took first in the shot put.

Austin sophomore Carolyn Hackel won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and sophomore Madison Overby won the 3200-meter run.

The Packer girls finished with a team score of 98.50 and Rochester Century won the meet with a score of 219. The Packer boys finished with a team score of 104 and Rochester Mayo won the meet with a score of 151.

Lyle-Pacelli’s boys and girls teams each finished in seventh place.
