Blooming Prairie’s Shelbi Swenson pitches a perfect game in win over Medford

MEDFORD — Blooming Prairie senior pitcher Shelbi Swenson pitched a perfect game as the Awesome Blossoms beat Medford 17-0 in five innings on the road Tuesday.

Swenson struck out 11 for BP (7-2 overall) in what was her seventh shutout of the season.

“Our offense has been playing well in the last couple of games and Shelbi has pitched well all year,” BP head coach Ali Mach said. “We are progressing like we had hoped and we’re improving with every game.”
