Elizabeth D. ‘Bea’ Taylor, 95, of Lyle, Minn., died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Adams Health Care Center in Adams, Minn.

Elizabeth Dorothy Weber was born July 16, 1917, on the family farm in Grandview Township near Dickey, N.D., to John and Mary (Schmitz) Weber. She attended Marion High School in Marion, N.D., graduating with the class of 1934. On June 29, 1940, Elizabeth married Russell C. Anderson. They later divorced. Russell passed away in September 1978. On July 16, 1976, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Louis Laverne Taylor. Their marriage was blessed at Queen of Peace Church in Lyle, Minn., on March 23, 1980. Elizabeth started and owned several businesses between 1957 and 1990, including Bea’s Café, The Copper Kettle, Taylor’s Place and Old Home Place. A member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lyle, Bea belonged to the Rosary Society, the Woodbury Willing Workers and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to make dolls and work on crafts.

Survivors include her husband Louis “Tip” Taylor of Lyle; her children Sharon (Herb) Doll of Sioux Falls, S.D., Nola Stahl of Lyle, Minn., Dana Perkins of Buffalo, Minn., Dave (Carmel) Taylor of Austin, Mike (Dawn) Taylor of Lyle; daughter-in-law Jane Taylor of Austin; 13 grandchildren Lisa (John) Hartke of Fort Montgomery, N.Y., Jennifer Doll of Sioux Falls, Aimee (Devon) Morrill of Sioux Falls, S.D., Mitchell Magenot of Borger, Texas, Teresa Speer of the Twin Cities, Kim Speer of Forest Lake, Minn., Todd Perkins of Delano, Minn., Aaron Perkins of Buffalo, Minn., Terri (Dennis) Zwiener of Blooming Prairie, Todd Taylor of Clarks Grove, Jeremy (Leah) Taylor of Cottage Grove, Minn., Chris Taylor of Shakopee, and Aaron Crews of Austin; 21 great-grandchildren; 24 great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Weber; eight brothers, Norbert, Floyd, Ryan, Will, Ervin, Cliff, Art and Ralph Weber; two sisters Mildred Bakke and Darlene Calkins; step-son Rodney Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Lyle with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle.
