Bruins drop two to Bismarck, will close out regular season March 30

The Austin Bruins lost a pair of games to Bismarck over the weekend as they fell to Bismarck 5-2 Friday and lost 4-3 in overtime Saturday.

On Saturday, the Bruins (40-11-7 overall) had a late breakdown as Bismarck (33-16-9 overall) scored two goals in the last two minutes of regulation and they won the game when Joe Giordano scored in overtime.

Jason Pawloski had 41 saves and Drew Anderson scored two goals in the loss.

Austin’s Nick Lehr had 17 saves in Friday’s loss.

Austin has just two regular season games remaining as they host Coulee Region March 29 at 7:05 p.m. and play at Coulee Region March 30 at 7 p.m.

The Bruins have already clinched the top seed in the NAHL Central Division playoffs, which will begin April 5.
