BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The Awesome Blossoms didn’t have trouble beating Medford (7-11 overall, 3-6 Gopher) 79-50, but it was a late shot by a former manager that gave the team a big lift Friday night in BP.

BP senior CJ Hein, who had been a manager/statician since he was an eighth grader due to a heart condition that requires an internal defibrillator, notched his first career points when he hit a 3-pointer for BP.

John Rumpza had 34 points and 14 rebounds for BP (10-7 overall, 6-2 Gopher) and Michael Thomas had 15 points and 13 rebounds.
