Suspects plead not guilty after police find stash of marijuana

Two men arrested after police allegedly uncovered nearly 8 pounds of marijuana their home have both pleaded not guilty Thursday in Mower County Court.

Mick James Carranza, 25, and Adam Lee Abben, 26, both of Austin, each pleaded not guilty to felony fifth-degree drug sale. Police executed a search warrant at their home and saw Abben driving away from the property. According to the court complaint, they stopped Abben and took him back to the home where they found 7.95 pounds of weed in a bedroom with Carranza. The complaint adds police found a digital scale and a food sealer. The estimated street value of the marijuana is $1,860, according to the complaint.

Both suspects are scheduled for pretrials on April 19.
