Packer gymnasts set season’s best mark in Rochester

ROCHESTER — The Packer gymnastics team put up a season’s best score of 145.25 as it took first in the Rochester Quadrangular Tuesday.

The Packers excelled on the bars as they put up a season’s best score of 35.575 in the event.

“We got new skills from Jennifer Boyle, Carolyn Hackel and Alecia Uskert on bars,” Austin head coach Mark Raymond said.

Boyle also had a good night on the floor as she scored an 8.575.

The Packers had the top-four all-arounders at the meet and Sela Fadness took first overall.

Vault: Sela Fadness (first, 9.6); Carolyn Hackel (second, 9.175); Abby Bickler (third, 9.15); Maddie Mullenbach (fourth, 9.05)

Bars: Fadness (first, 9.45); Bickler (second, 9.025); Mullenbach (third, 8.850); Hackel (fifth, 8.25); Abby Snater (sixth, 8.1)

Beam: Snater (second, 9.2); Fadness (third, 8.95); Bickler (fourth, 8.9); Hackel (fifth, 8.4)

Floor: Fadness (first, 9.7); Bickler (second, 9.275); Hackel (third, 9.05); Mullenbach (fourth, 9.0); Jennifer Boyle (sixth, 8.575)

All-Around: Fadness (first, 37.7); Bickler (second, 36.35); Mullenbach (third, 35.1); Hackel (fourth, 34.875)
