Icy and foggy conditions continue to loom across the area, and a few area schools are giving parents extra time to get students to school this morning.
Blooming Prairie, Grand Meadow, Lyle, Le-Roy Ostrander, and Southland schools have all announced two-hour delays. Hayfield-Brownsdale is closed. Austin Public Schools, however, were starting at normal time.
A dense fog advisory was issued until 9 a.m. in Mower County Tuesday. In some areas, fog was reducing visibility to a quarter of a mile or less.
Though temperatures hovered above freezing, the National Weather Service warned some ice was still lingering on untreated roads.
