The Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer a Driver Improvement Course for people 55 and older from noon to 4 p.m on Feb. 25 at the Blooming Prairie City Center.

The course is a four-hour refresher taught by a Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center instructor. Participants will receive the latest information on driver safety, traffic laws and vehicle technology.

People age 55 and older who complete the course qualify for a 10 percent discount on auto insurance premiums for three years, according to Minnesota law. First time participants must complete an initial eight hours of training and a four hour refresher class every three years to maintain the 10% discount.
