Reuchel’s free throws lift Rebel boys

ADAMS — The Southland boys basketball team hung on to beat Triton (1-3 overall) 60-59 in Adams Friday.

The Rebels (4-0 overall) trailed 59-58 with 10 seconds left when Alex Ruechel he hit two free throws in a row and Southland came up with a steal to seal the win.

“It was the third game of the week and our legs were a little tired,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said. “We fought hard and the kids never gave up.”
