A pickup with four passengers rolled into the ditch Thursday morning; however, a Mower County Sheriff’s Deputy reported nobody was hurt.

The truck, which was hauling a trailer, rolled off Interstate 90 east of Austin near Jellystone Park campground, and left a lot of scattered debris. The cab of the truck was severely smashed; however, all passengers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts.

State Patrol officer Tim Freden was visibly upset, as a stream of cars passed by the accident. Despite the blizzard conditions, Freden said he clocked some vehicles traveling at 70 to 75 mph.

“It’s people going too fast,” Freden said.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse, Wis., reports that road conditions may only become worse throughout the day.
