A driver may face criminal charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist last Tuesday in Dodge County.

According to Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen, a driver called at about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday and said an angry driver pointed a gun out the window of his car. Both drivers turned south onto Highway 56 in Dodge County, and a deputy took a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The deputy later stopped the suspect’s car south of Brownsdale in Mower County and got help from a Mower County deputy and state patrol officer. Officers reportedly found the gun in the vehicle.

While the driver was taken to the Dodge County Sheriff’s office to give a statement, he was not arrested, Jensen said. Instead, a report was filed with the Dodge County Attorney’s office. Jensen said the suspect cooperated.
