ROCHESTER — The No. 8 ranked Packer boys soccer team lost a showdown with No. 3 ranked Rochester Lourdes (12-1 overall) 4-2 in Rochester Saturday.

Nick Brehmer scored off a corner kick by Roel Torres to give Austin (12-2 overall) a 2-1 lead in the first half, but Lourdes scored a penalty kick and another goal with 12 minutes left in the half to take over.

Lourdes scored its fourth goal with 11 minutes left in the game to put it away.

“We had opportunities in the second half, but we just couldn’t seem to put one in,” Austin head coach Jens Levisen said.

Jake Hagen-Erickson scored Austin’s first goal in the eighth minute on an assist from Abinyan Lual.

Collin Weisert had nine saves in the loss and the Packers tallied 18 shots.
