Superlarks top Lyle-Pacelli

The Grand Meadow football team started strong and beat Lyle-Pacelli 45-16 in the season opener for both teams at Art Hass Stadium Friday.

The Athletics (0-1 overall) struggled on offense as the Superlarks (1-0 overall) held them to negative yards on the ground.

GM held a 45-0 advantage at halftime and it pulled its starters out of the game at halftime.

“We knew this was going to be a tough task,” LP head coach Reid Olson said. “We’re still in rebuilding mode and GM is a class program that we’d like to emulate.”

Olson said LP turnovers led to GM’s first three scores of the game.

“We’ve got to stop beating ourselves,” he said.
