The Hayfield Heat picked up their seventh win in a row when they beat the Austin Blue Sox (4-9 overall) 7-0 in Marcusen Park Wednesday.

Darin Wagner hit a two-run double in the first inning for Hayfield (9-3 overall) and Shawn Palmer and Tyler Nelson combined for the shutout win.

“We’re real hot right now and I just hope we’re not peaking too early,” Hayfield manager Kasey Krekling said.
