Lead slips away from B. Prairie in seventh

The Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms couldn’t hold the lead going into the seventh as Blue Earth claimed a 8-7 win with a walk-off double Saturday in Blooming Prairie.

“We had a two-run lead going into the seventh inning, but we walked a couple to load the bases and with one out Blue Earth hit a double to win it,” Blooming Prairie coach Paul Peterson said.

Isaiah Toquam went the distance to get the win scattering nine hits, striking out four, walking three and hitting three batters.

Ryan McCabe led the Blossoms at the plate going 2-for-4 with a double. John Rumpza and Jon Kraling both went 1-for-3 with a double and Luke Hueman went 1 for 3. Weston Fibiger also had a hit on the day.
