MANKATO — The Austin girls track and field team edged out Albert Lea to win their first Big Nine triangular in at least two years at Mankato West Tuesday.

The Packers scored points in 17 of their 18 events to put up a team score of 67, while the Tigers took second with a 65.

“I’m happy to see us do well in all of the events,” Austin head coach Nancy Jones said. “It’s a fun group of girls and I’m glad to see them have some success.”
