The Austin Chamber of Commerce and Riverland Community College will be hosting a free seminar for returning veterans this Thursday.

The free program, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in room B101 at the college, will provide info about employers, employment rights and responsibilities for returning military veterans. The event is co-hosted by the Chamber’s Human Resources Committee.

Norm Hecimovich, ESGR Region 6 chair, will outline employer and employee responsibilities under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act as well as how his organization can assist employers with the transition.
